The magnificent spiral shape of an unfolding fern frond or the shell of a chambered nautilus is a metaphor for God's faithful love from one generation to another. For these verses I chose a Victorian script which we often associate with love letters. From the 17th through the 19th centuries, immigrants to the New World from Europe brought this writing with them.
